POWERPOINT PRESENTATION ON – BIRDS OF ENGLAND – BY PEEL HALL PRIMARY SCHOOL, ENGLAND

Exchanging presentations between the two schools was a good way of sharing information about birds of the two countries – UK and India. The PowerPoint presentation was sent to us by Mr. William Auckerley and Mr. Ross Sutherland , teachers from Peel Hall Primary School, Manchester, UK.

Mrs. Durga Singh, Coordinator Pre-Primary, explained the presentation to the students. The children enjoyed the presentation and learnt about birds like the robin, stork, woodpecker, cuckoo etc.

TALK ON BIRDS BY MRS. KANAK BALI SINGH

On 22nd November, students of LKG and UKG were very excited to have Mrs. Kanak Bali Singh an avid bird watcher and photographer as a guest speaker to talk to the children. She started off by asking the children the question – What is a bird?  She told them that birds could fly, they had a beak, and were feathered beings with two legs. She also told them about flightless birds and about the various types of beaks and their uses. She supported her talk with an interesting PowerPoint presentation and videos. The children really enjoyed her presentation.
